FIELD: physics; communication.

SUBSTANCE: method of check response transmission speed determination for acknowledgement of data reception in a wireless local area network is offered. For this purpose the method includes stages, on which: transmission parametres of a sending station from the data transmission check received from a sending station are obtained; search in an accepting station for transmission parametres corresponding to the received transmission parametres of a sending station; control response check transmission speed is determined according to the transmission parametres of an accepting station if the transmission parametres corresponding to parametres of sending station transmission, are found in an accepting station; the maximum speed is determined from a set of basic transmission speeds as a control response check transmission speed if the transmission parametres of handing on corresponding to parametres of a sending station, are not found in an accepting station.

EFFECT: possibility for high-powered stations and traditional stations with various carrying capacities to address the environment with equal reason in the environment of a wireless local area network (LAN) where these stations co-exist due to the method of listening of the carrier.
