FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of magnetic separation, namely, to devices for extraction of magnetic-susceptible particles from liquid mediums, and may be used in mining, metallurgical and other industries. Magnetic separator comprises body that hosts concentrically installed non-magnet drum and magnet system on permanent magnets with alternating polarity of poles and possibility of rotation, loading and unloading devices. Drum is installed with the possibility of rotation towards magnetic system with linear speed lower or equal to speed of pulp motion in working zone of separator. The following components are rigidly fixed on internal surface of body along with direction of pulp motion - arc-shaped plate made of electret-type material, for instance, polyurethane, blade deflectors with specified gap from drum surface and induction grid from magnetic soft material, for instance, steel, installed between unloading devices for discharge of slime and concentrate.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of produced concentrate.
