FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method of magnetic concentration of ores containing magnetic minerals includes extraction of grains of magnetic minerals from the pulp, their movement by means of the rotating non-magnetic drum with reference to the permanent magnets located in the drum with the polarity alternating with reference to the yoke surface along the rotation direction. The pulp is effected by the magnetic field with the pre-set intensity in such a way that it provides periodic consecutive and layer-by-layer change of surface density of chains of magnetic floccules by their consecutive partial shortening and movement along the drum surface along the direction of magnetic field gradient which together cause release and throw-off of non-magnetic fraction from the drum surface in the radial direction, and, as a result, effective cleaning of the magnetic concentrate from non-magnetic impurity. The method is implemented by means of the device containing non-magnetic drum with a possibility of rotation and the magnetic system located in it on the surface of the fixed yoke with rows of magnets with magnetic polarity alternating with reference to the yoke surface along the pulp motion direction, the system of loading and unloading of the separated products. In the magnetic system in a re-cleaning zone, at least, in two cross parallel rows the sections of magnetization of blocks alternate, which identical by width, with constant magnetic field intensity and sections with continuously reduced from two to three times of magnetic field intensity along the section length towards the direction of pulp. Sections in the neighbouring rows mutually block each other, and the width of sections with the double (minimum) width of the process gap for magnetic product unloading, and the length is proportional to the time of movement of particles of non-magnetic impurity under the effect of centrifugal force from the drum surface to the bathtub wall.
EFFECT: improvement of efficiency of magnetic separation and quality of magnetic products.
