FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: suggested invention is related to split insert of die, which is used in composite moulding device and, in particular, to insert of die for ring of preform neck arranged for casting of external surface of plastic preform neck part. Invention comprises split insert of die that contains the main part with shaping surface arranged on it. Besides, split insert comprises cooling channel, which is arranged in the main part and where partition is provided. Partition separates section of cooling channel into the first and second areas. Transmitting cooling channel is located between areas.
EFFECT: creation of system of cooling channels for use in split inserts, which provides for uniform cooling of at least part of shaping surface arranged on them and is quite simple and cheap to make.
