FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for storage of gases - design of multiple cavity high pressure balloon. Multiple cavity balloon comprises body, closed shells contained in it and installed with clearance relative to each other, and distributing filling device for filling of balloon with gas and emptying. Body consists of cylindrical part and two semispherical bottoms of identical thickness h. Inside body there are i=0,1,2,…, n spherically closed shells with thickness of h/2, which create cavities. Two hemispheres of the same thickness are recessed into body and create extreme spherical cavities together with according semispherical bottoms. One of cavities is connected to filling device, and all spherical cavities are connected to each other by tubular channels with length comparable to thickness of internal spherical shells and create the first combination of communicating cavities. Centres of spheres, including extreme ones, are located on axis of body. Cavities created by internal surface of cylindrical part of body and external surfaces of spherical shells are connected to each other and with filling device, creating the second combination of communicating cavities. Both combinations are insulated from each other, which helps to fill/empty them autonomously.
EFFECT: provision of minimum value of ratio between vessel mass and gas mass Mv/Mg, provision of small dimensions.
