SUBSTANCE: offered method and device concern radio electronics and can be used for positioning of compound signal sources. A phase direction-finder that implements the offered phase direction finding technique accommodates properly connected receiving antennas spaced on a circle and one receiving antenna at its centre, three receivers, a reference generator, a pulse generator, an electronic switch, a 90° phase shifter, three phase detectors, an indicator, a heterodyne, a mixer, an intermediate-frequency amplifier, three multipliers, three band filters, a delay circuit.
EFFECT: improved sensitivity and precision of angular coordinate measurement by twofold increase of relative size of the register surface 2d/λ.
