FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed method relates to diagnostics of area and volume of distribution of oil spot under ice at oil leakage from underwater well or underwater oil pipeline at oil recovery from deposits of Arctic shelf. Application of the technology in case of emergency accumulation of oil under ice facilitates quick assessment of the area and volume of the oil slick and timely acceptance of operational measures for collection of effluents. System implementing proposed method comprises well 1 on shelf, underwater oil pipeline 2, zone 3 of non-tightness of underwater equipment and simultaneously point of magnetic material supply into oil leakage, point 4 of magnetic material input into oil producing well, emergency oil leakage 5 rising on water surface, oil accumulation under ice 6, ice coating 7, helicopter 8 with magnetometer, radar detector 9 and direction finder onboard, master oscillator 10, pseudorandom sequence (PSS) generator 11, phase manipulator 12, power amplifier 13, duplexer 14, transceiving antenna 15, receiving antennas 16-19, high frequency amplifiers 20-24, reference frequency generator 25, motor 26, heterodyne 27, mixer 28, intermediate frequency amplifier 29, correlator 30, adjustable delay unit 31, multiplier 32, low-pass filter 33, extreme controller 34, range indicator 35, registration unit 36, multipliers 37-40, narrow-band filters 41-44, 51 and 52, multipliers 45, 46, delay lines 47, 48, phase detectors 49, 50, phase meters 53-56.
EFFECT: high accuracy and uniqueness of determining the location of an oil spot by using a radar, a direction finder and complex phase-shift keyed signals, as well as determining the distance from the helicopter to the oil spot, its azimuth α and elevation angle β.
