THERAPY OF INFANTILE CHILDREN'S CEREBRAL PALSY IN FORM OF SPASTIC DIPLEGIA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61N1/36

Abstract RU 2366470 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: integrated treatment applied involves exercise therapy, paraffin applications, manual massage and electrostimulation. Neuroadaptive electrostimulation is carried out as follows. At first, in dorsal position, a patient has neck carotid zones exposed symmetrically. Then in prone position, exposure covers segments of paravertebral innervation of lower limbs (L4-S1) from both sides, and in dorsal position, motor points of anterior tibial muscles are treated on the right and on the left. Herewith, electrostimulation is combined with passive-active motions including flexions and extensions of ankle. Continuous operating mode of the device at frequency 90 Hz is applied for the area of cervical sympathetic ganglions and projection of segments of lower limbs apply, whereas modulation mode (5:1) at frequency 60 Hz covers motor points of anterior tibial muscles. Current strength is specified individually. Exposure time for one field is 2 minutes, course duration involves 10 daily procedures.

EFFECT: improved adaptation of ICP patients to new motor skills, maintained electrophysiological indices been reached, reliable improvement of coordination muscular interrelation, positive effect on bioelectric cerebral activity.
