FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: mud treatment and electrical stimulation are performed with underlying standard therapeutic regimens. Mud therapy involves applications of a fresh-water, sulphide-free, peat therapeutic mud at T 37-38°C on lower limbs for the first three procedures of eight minutes, for 4-6 procedures of ten minutes, for 7-12 procedures of 15 minutes; the therapeutic course is 12 procedures. The procedure of mud therapy is followed 1 hour later with the segmental electric stimulation with the Amplipulse apparatus. For the purpose of the electric stimulation, electrodes of the area of 3×8 cm2 are placed on the cervical spine paravertebrally at the level of C2-Th2 and on the lumbar spine paravertebrally at the level of Th1-L1 every second day with a current strength reduced to light vibration of the length of 5 minutes; the therapeutic course is 12 daily procedures.
EFFECT: more clinical effectiveness in children with infantile cerebral paralysis by the integrated exposure providing the better muscle tone, wider range of motion, motor skill correction and creation of a new walking habit.
