METHOD OF TREATING INFANTILE CEREBRAL PARALYSIS IN FORM OF SPASTIC DIPLEGIA OF LATE RESIDUAL STAGE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61N1/32

Abstract RU 2477640 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to medicine, namely to neurology. What is involved is electric stimulation of lower extremity muscles in 'myoneuroton' apparatus combined with stationary cycling. Electrodes are placed on right and left lower extremity muscles and attached to outputs of apparatus channels: hip flexors to the 1st and 5th channels, foot flexors to the 2nd and 6th channels, hip extensors to the 3rd and 7th channels, foot extensors to 4th and 8th channels. The treatment regimen implies a stimulation-relaxation practice. The 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th channels are tuned to the stimulation regimen; the 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th channels - to the relaxation regimen. The stimulation is generated by pulse semi-sinusoid current of frequency 35 Hz in the stimulation regimen, of frequency 120 Hz in the relaxation regimen, of pulse duration 120 ms, modulation frequency 9 Hz with current intensity adjusted to mild vibrating sensation. Action time of the channel group is 2 sec, and the patient cycles in the comfortable running. The 15-minute procedures are daily; the therapeutic course is 10 procedures.

EFFECT: method extends the range of products for treating infantile cerebral paralysis.
