FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: catalyst for methylbutenes dehydrogenation to isoprene containing potassium oxide, magnesium oxide, cerium oxide, calcium oxide, molybdenum oxide, silicon dioxide, aluminium oxide and iron oxide is prepared by special high-temperature treatment at 650-1000°C at following components content, wt %: potassium oxide 12.0-19.0; magnesium oxide 1.0-7.0; cerium oxide 2.5-7.0; calcium oxide 2.0-8.0; molybdenum oxide 1.0-3.0; silicon dioxide1.0-2.5; aluminium oxide 0.5-2.0; iron oxide - the rest. The method of the said catalyst loading to the reactor consists in layered charge whereat the upper layer is the said catalyst and lower layer is industrial catalyst of the trade mark K-24I having the following composition, wt %: potassium oxide 10.0-20.0; rubidium or cesium oxide 0.1-5.0; silicon dioxide 10.5-1.2; chromium oxide 2.0-5.0; zirconium dioxide 1.0-3.0; aluminium oxide 0.1-5.0; iron oxide - the rest; the catalyst ratio is in the range from 1:3 to 3:1 respectively.
EFFECT: elaboration of the catalyst for real condition of industrial operation with stable selectivity in the process of methylbutenes dehydrogenation; development of its application method providing maximal yield of the isoprene together with high process selectivity.
