FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines. Proposed engine includes cylindrical housing with working medium feed and discharge openings, face covers, output shaft and two rotors. Rotor blades feature thrust surfaces to get in contact there between after expansion stroke. Two-blade rotors are fitted on output shafts that pass through face covers. The blade thrust surfaces form combustion chamber. Discharge opening accommodates a retainer to prevent rotors from moving in direction other than preset one. Retainer width along the cylinder arc does not exceed blade width. Size along the arc between the retainer stop and nearest edge of inlet equals blade width, or size along the arc between retainer stop and nearest edge of adjacent inlet makes at least the sum of sizes, along the arc, of blade width and distance between the blades when they come in contact with aforesaid thrust surfaces. For starting, the engine incorporates system consisting of compressed air cylinder, pipeline and valve to allow access into combustion chamber.
EFFECT: simpler design and higher efficiency.
