FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises housing with cylindrical chamber accommodating two pairs of vanes. Said cylindrical chamber has intake and exhaust openings. Said vanes can run at variable speed and are fitted on hollow shafts. Said shafts are coaxial and aligned with housing and engaged via timing mechanism and output shaft. Said timing mechanisms making hollow shaft engage are composed of two reduction gears. Each reduction gear is fitted on hollow shaft and consists of spur gears and ratchet mechanisms. Aforesaid output shaft is arranged inside hollow shafts aligned and engaged therewith via two ratchet mechanisms arranged inside hollow shafts. One of reduction gear gears is fitted rigidly on output shaft. Another reduction gear spur gear runs free on hollow shaft to drive it via ratchet mechanism. Said ratchet mechanism inhibits reverse rotation of hollow shaft at the moment of ignition.
