FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine contains housing with ring chamber accommodating two pairs of vanes installed for rotation at variable speed. Vanes are installed on coaxial shafts connected with output shaft by means of synchronization mechanism containing variable radius toothed wheels. Toothed wheels of synchronization mechanism secured on shafts of rotor and output shaft engage through variable radius intermediate toothed wheels freely rotating on axle. According to invention, axis of output shaft can displace parallel to itself around axis of intermediate toothed wheels changing relative position of output shaft and axle of intermediate gears for changing engine compression ratio. Engine compression ratio can be adjusted within wide range. EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine owing to adjustment of compression ratio. 6 cl, 5 dwg
