FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: metal powder is deposited onto a wire by drawing it through a container with powder by using two pairs of rotating driving and driven roller electrodes and baking to put powder on the wire by heating the electrode wire using current flowing through the roller electrodes. The container with metal powder is placed in the middle of the distance between the said pairs of rotating roller electrodes. A current source is connected both roller electrodes of the driving pair with provision for flow of current between them through the electrode wire. One of the roller electrodes of the driven pair is connected to one of the roller electrodes of the driving pair.
EFFECT: efficient heating of the wire and high adhesion strength of the powder to the electrode wire.
