FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in repair and hardening of worn-out parts with electric-contact surfacing. Combined additive contains two layers: facing to fuselage roller base from steel tape and woven metal wire mesh from low-carbon steel, facing to recovered surface of part. Dimensions of tape and mesh correspond to dimensions of welded surface of part and its wear. Surface density of the mesh is selected to obtain the required thickness of the metal coating. When passing between fusing roller and part of current pulses, mesh metal is plastically deformed and fuses its gaps. In case of relative motion of metal heated to plastic state, meshes in contact with part and tape are destroyed and dense hydroxide films are removed – main obstacles to formation of welded joint in solid phase.
EFFECT: application of combined additive allows reducing prime cost of parts reconditioning or hardening, increasing manufacturability and efficiency of process, improving quality of coating.
