FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes installation into retort of installation for titanising with spongy titanium, sealing, heating of retort, vacuum high-temperature endurance, installation of retort into device for cooling, implemented in the form of tank with water-cooled jacket and openings in it, cooling of retort and extraction from it of device for titanising. Retort is cooled at successive supply of water at first into water-cooled jacket of the device for cooling during not less than three hours, and then at feeding of water through openings in water-cooled jacket directly on well of retort. Installation includes vacuum furnace, device for titanising with located in it spongy titanium, retort, degassing system, line of argon feeding, and device for cooling, implemented in the form of tank with branches for supply and withdrawal of water. On side walls of device for cooling it is located water-cooled jacket with openings, located higher branches for supply and withdrawal of water.
EFFECT: decreasing of oxidation of surface of titanic covering at cooling of retort.
