SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile production. The suggested weft knitted fabric contains additional courses formed by weft stitch weave, notably, that each loop of additional course passes through wale of the ground and fixed on the loop of the other wale by simultaneous stretching of the further ground through them. The method of knitting weft knitted fabric on seamless loop-forming sinker web machine includes forming of courses of the ground from the loops placed on two needles at the same time, the needles are separated into pairs, thereafter one needle from each pair is switched out of use leaving the loop of the ground in it, and the loops from the additional needle are knitted on the other loop, thereafter the loops from the additional thread formed on the needles of each pair are transferred at the same time to the needles with the loops of the ground of the neighbouring pair. Thereafter, further course of the ground is knitted stretching the ground loops through the ground loop of the previous course and loop formed from the additional needle.

EFFECT: suggested structure of weft knitted fabric ensures less expansibility and enhanced stability of shape of textile fabric due to spatial arrangement of loops of additional courses along the courses of pound.
