FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises producing basic carpet with, primarily, horizontal fibers with binder, moving aforesaid carpet along fiber direction and zigzag-like laying to produce multi-layer carpet in directing it at right angle to basic carpet direction and with fibers oriented at acute angle to multilayer carpet direction. Note that the number of layers in multilayer carpet is even. Basic carpet width vs that of multilayer carper is set according to relation b1/b2=nxcosα, while speed of transfer of aforesaid carpets is selected subject to the following relation, i.e. V1\V2=nxb2/b1, where b1 and b2 make widths of basic and multilayer carpets, respectively, n is the number of layers, α makes the angle of fibers inclination to multilayer carpet direction.
EFFECT: expanded process performances, high-quality of mineral wool carpets.
