FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of mineral wool articles. Proposed method comprises making the primary carpet with binder, its displacement, marking said primary carpet to make sandwich carpet with primary carpet layers included at acute angle to sandwich carpet displacement, deformation of the latter in corrugation zone by compression over height and along displacement direction with changing the primary carpet layers. Sandwich carpet is deformed at displacement over corrugation zone at displacement speed of its lower layers higher than that of upper layers. Displacement speeds of said lower and upper layers are set in compliance with the relationship V_L/V_U=1+H/((L(1/tgα-1/tgψ)), where V_L and V_U are speeds of lower and upper layers, respectively; H is sandwich carper height; L is corrugation zone length; α and ψ are acute angles of primary carpet layers inclination in sandwich carpet relative to displacement direction before and after deformation.

EFFECT: expanded process performances, higher quality of articles.
