FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory methods of evaluating operational properties of engine fuel and can be used for identifying thermally stable fuel, used in engines with high thermal intensity. The method involves collection and preparation of a fuel sample, pouring the sample into a glass tumbler and putting it into a cell, which is sealed at given ratio of Vfuel/Vair, thermostating at a given temperature for 4 hours, cooling and then evaluating thermo-oxidative stability from the amount of formed deposit and insoluble resin. Volume ratio Vfuel/Vair is equal to 1:7.3-11.5, and thermostating is done at fuel temperature of 200±2°C.
EFFECT: more accurate determination.
