SUBSTANCE: invention is in the field of textile industry, particularly of methods of fiber or textile plant bast quality determination, namely estimation of their flexibility. The method of estimation of fiber or textile plant bast flexibility comprises sample preparation and testing using alternate bending of fiber sample cantilever fitted at the end of floating lever and reacting when moving with support in the form of plate with ridge. Flexibility is determined by number of lever movements to full stop.

EFFECT: increase in accuracy and information value of test results when estimating fiber and textile bast flexibility.
