FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a data interface for transmitting digital data between a host and a client over a communication channel using packet structures, interconnected for creating a communication protocol for transmitting a preselected set of digital data for management and presentation. A signal protocol is used for communication line controllers, which can create, transmit and receive packets, which make the communication protocol, and generate digital data in packets of a single or several types, where at least one of them is in the host device and is linked to the client through a communication channel. The interface provides for a cost-effective, low-power bidirectional mechanism for high-speed transmission of data over communication lines for near "serial" transmission, which is suitable for use with miniature connectors and thin flexible cables, especially useful when connecting display elements, such as portable micro-displays for portable computers and wireless communication devices.
EFFECT: increased channel capacity when transmitting data between host devices, providing these data, and client devices.
