FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used for drying, presowing treatment and improvement of plant crop seeds. The method implies treating seeds which are presented as dried biomass with the moisture content of 8-14% in a mass-transfer unit divided by an air permeable baffle into a mixing and a low-pressure chamber with the latter being connected to the ventilation system. The seeds are placed in the mixing chamber on the air permeable baffle and an ozone-air agent is passed through them; the agent movement is ensured by the ventilation system operating in the aspiration mode. The temperature of the ozone-air agent exceeds the temperature of the seed mass by 5…12°C. The device comprises a mass-transfer unit separated by a horizontal air permeable baffle where the treated seeds are placed, an air heater, an ozoniser, an air moisturiser and a radial-flow fan operating in the aspiration mode. The mixing chamber is formed above the air permeable baffle in the upper part of the mass-transfer unit. The low-pressure chamber connected to the fan is placed in the lower part of the unit. The air heater, ozoniser and air moisturizer are connected to the mixing chamber by air channels. The ozoniser is used to produce ozone from the ambient atmospheric air.

EFFECT: invention allows for the improvement of the seeds treatment quality.
