FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: ceramic mass consists of clay raw material represented with mixed and layered formation of kaolinite-illite composition, and additive - quartz grains, which represent washery refuse of small-sized mica-muscovite, at the following component ratio, wt %: the above clay raw material 45-100, quartz grains 0-55. The proposed invention provides the possibility of obtaining fire-resistant ceramic products of mullite-quartz and quartz-mullite compositions with fire resistance of not less than 1700°C, apparent density of 1430-1540 kg/m3, ultimate compressive strength of 10.3-50 H/mm2 and ultimate bending strength of 2.1-9.5 H/mm2, open porosity of 8.8-13.3%, and water absorption of 5.6-9.0%.
EFFECT: improving strength characteristics of products at maintaining fire resistance, enlarging mineral and raw material base for manufacturing fire-resistant ceramic brick.
