SUBSTANCE: invention is related to packing, mostly soft packing, intended for operation in packing glands with axial tension. Surface of packing is equipped with protrusions, besides protrusions are arranged with softness that provides in process of operational axial tension compliance of sealed surface and packing surface that contacts with sealed surface, moreover, softness of protrusions is more than softness of remaining packing part.

EFFECT: reduced shrinking capacity of packing with simultaneous preservation of packing sealing capacity without extreme axial tension that does not comply with pressure of sealed medium.
