FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: vortex tube comprises coaxial body with chamber of energy separation, receiving chamber of annular diaphragm, nozzle for exhaust of cold flow and device of nozzle supply installed between diaphragm and body. Nozzle supply device is arranged in the form of flat crescent-shaped elements evenly distributed along diaphragm ring and limited by arcs of two circumferences. Internal or both arcs are arranged along tangent to circumference coaxial to body, on which sharp ends of crescent-shaped elements are located, with diametre larger than diametre of diaphragm opening.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of vortex pipe operation and increased time of gas flow staying in chamber of energy separation under conditions of supersonic speed maintenance.
