FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: eddy-current defectoscope for monitoring ferromagnetic pipes has an alternating current generator, initial emf compensator, high-frequency amplifer, amplitude-phase detector, connected through its second input to the generator through a phase inverter, low-pass filter, low-frequency amplifer, high-pass filter, threshold device, unit for managing sorting, direct current source and a solenoid. The defectoscope is additionally fitted with a set of m magnetosensitive transducers, for example Hall sensors, a multichannel analogue switching unit, a measuring magnetic channel as part of series-connected regulated amplifier, an analogue-to-digial conveter (ADC), a piecewise linear lineariser, a digital display, as well as a microprocessor program-control controller, connected through address buses and data buses the generator, aphase inverter, low-frequency amplifier, high-pass filter, threshold device, unit for managing sorting, regulated amplifier, ADC, piecewise linear lineariser and digital display.
EFFECT: increased information content of monitoring due to detection of extensive corrosive damages to walls of pipes.
