FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: eddy current is excited in an electrically conductive object with a static magnetic field, and the electrically conductive object is scanned with eddy current converter, comprising at least one static field inductor and at least one sensor of changing electromagnetic field at the moving of eddy current converter and a conductive object, signals corresponding to the change in the electromagnetic field are recorded, and measurement results are used to determine the presence of defects. At the same, the excitation of eddy currents in the electrically conductive object is performed by an attachable-type eddy current transducer where sensors of changes in the electromagnetic field are mounted on the pole of the static field inductor, and the excitation of eddy currents is carried out by the magnetic field changing sensor. Eddy current transducer consists of at least one static field inductor and at least one electromagnetic field changes sensor, and the analysis and processing unit having an input coupled to the output of the electromagnetic field changes sensor. An attachable-type eddy current transducer is used as converter for eddy currents. Electromagnetic field change sensor is attached to the pole of static field inductor. Electromagnetic field change sensor and static field inductor are made as a single unit.

EFFECT: possibility to provide one-way access control.
