FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related electric engineering and may be used to create inductive power accumulators, and also magnetic screens that protect cosmonauts against space ionising radiation. Winding comprises sectors installed around main axis of toroid. Number of turns inside any of multiple concentric circumferences with center on main axis, lying in plane perpendicular to main axis, is proportional to radius of this circumference. Each sector consists of flat sections parallel to each other. Section adjoining sector symmetry plane passing through main axis have the largest width. Width of other sections reduces as they go away from plane of symmetry. Each of sector sections is fixed in plate, and in gaps between plates there are elements of assembled ribs, which provide for sector rigidity under action of side thrust forces.

EFFECT: simplified design, higher strength and manufacturability, and also elimination of scattered magnetic field.
