FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Hexafluorobutadiene is purified in three successive stages. At the first stage there is primary distillation of hexafluorobutadiene, either during its synthesis or after synthesis at still temperature of 5 to 12 °C. Sorption purification of hexafluorobutadiene is carried out at the second stage by passing it through a fixed bed of zeolites with pore size of 7-8 Å. At the third stage, secondary distillation of hexafluorobutadiene takes place at still temperature of 15-40 °C.
EFFECT: invention increases degree of purity of hexafluorobutadiene.
