SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of portable and technical water treatment, sewage purification, decontamination of water and may be used for preparation of drinking and technical water supply. The method provides for treatment of a water-gas mixture with electric discharges at the high-voltage voltage pulses duration of no more than 0.5 · 10^-6 s with a rate of pulse rise of no less than 109 V/s. The water is fed into a chamber ensuring a film flow of water and a contact with a counterflow of ozone-air mixture. At the outlet of the chamber the water is dispersed in an upflow of the ozone-containing gas and enters through a unit of the water-gas mixture withdrawal into a final reaction chamber. The air supply is carried out sequentially through a heat exchanger, an electrode system, a unit of a water-gas mixture preparation and a contact chamber. A reactor contains a body, a water-gas mixture preparation unit, an electrode system and also connecting pipes for water delivery and withdrawal. The chamber of contact of the ozone-air mixture with water is located in the upper part of the body, and under the chamber of contact there is the electrical system placed on the external surface of the body outside the water-gas mixture zone. The technical effect consists in increased efficiency of a water treatment and reliability of electrode system.
