FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to metal plastic working, in particular to devices for prevention of pipe defects in bending process. Rigid element of mandrel is arranged with the possibility to insert the pipe inside and deviate together with it in process of bending operation with a specified average radius measured between centre of bending die rotation and longitudinal axis of pipe. Rigid element has a close lateral profile of side relative to centre of bending die rotation and at least a concave intermediate section created by part of periphery, and remote lateral profile of side relative to the same centre of rotation, which comprises two convex separated end sections, created with appropriate parts of periphery with a certain radius.

EFFECT: improved quality of bending.
