FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, engineering, namely design of vehicle caterpillar chains. Caterpillar chain track comprises bearing plate with eyes and bearing surface, in contact with ground. Lateral profile of bearing surface is formed by curvilinear surfaces. Lateral surfaces of profile are described by radii with their size, equal to caterpillar chain spacing on centers, located on circle arcs. Circles arcs pass through centers of axes of symmetry of eyes, from points on a horizontal surface of bearing plate, the distance between aforesaid points being equal to aforesaid chain spacing. On distance equal to caterpillar chain spacing on both faces of the plate bearing surface, the height of curvilinear profile relative to bearing plate lengthwise axis of symmetry is smaller than that at its central part. Ground grouser is made on top of curvilinear profile of bearing plate central part. Ground grouser height is limited by curvilinear surfaces formed by radii centers of axes of symmetry of eyes.
EFFECT: reduced power losses, lower metal input.
