FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for use in construction as an hydrophobisation additive to binder, construction adhesives, plaster mixtures, mortars and paint. The hydrophobisation polymer powder dispersed in water contains the following: polymer from 0.5 to 30 wt % one or more water soluble protective colloids, from 0 to 20 wt % organosilicon compound, from 0 to 20 wt % fatty acid or fatty acid derivatives, from 0 to 30 wt % aticaking agents. The polymer contains: from 50 to 90 pts. wt vinylacetate monomer units, from 5 to 50 pts. wt monomer units of vinyl esters of α-branched monocarboxylic acids with 2-20 carbon atoms, from 1 to 30 pts. wt monomer units of (met)acylates of alcohols with 1-15 carbon atoms, from 1 to 40 pts. wt monomer vinyl esters of long-chain monocarboxylic acids with 10 to 20 carbon atoms, from 0 to 20 pts. wt ethylene units, as well as optional units of other auxiliary monomers. All amounts expressed in pts. wt should add up to 100 pts. wt in each case.
EFFECT: increased hydrophobisation effect of polymer powder dispersed in water.
