SUBSTANCE: method of recording the control information on a writable optical disc includes at least one recording layer in which the record strategy information is included in the recorded control information by using the disc control information recorded in a certain area of the recorded optic disc. In the recorded optical disc including at least one recording layer the record strategy information is recorded in the disc control information so that the standardised disc control information can be uniformly applied to data recording and reproduction. At least one disc information block is recorded as the disc control information in the control area. Disc control information blocks are recorded at least for one record strategy for one and the same recording rate and recording layer.
