SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of recording control information on a recordable optical disc which has at least one recording layer. When recording control information in the control zone of the optical disc, which includes at least one or more recording layers, the present invention involves providing each recording layer with control information for each recording speed, information recording which, identifying the type of the corresponding control information into the control information, and recording strategy of recording related to the corresponding type of the control information. During recording of recording strategy, constant linear velocity (CLV) mode and constant angular velocity (CAV) mode are recorded separately to as to efficiently cope with recording/playing back optical discs.
EFFECT: provision for copying with high recording speed for high-density optical discs, provision for compatibility.
