FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for increasing squeezing force at minimum input force. Proposed method comprises continuous casting with squeezing fluid core followed by induction heating till the end of rolling in multiple mill stands. Castings subjected to aforesaid method feature initial thickness varying from 120 mm to 400 mm, while process described features high mass flow rate per unit time at outlet of stand. Reduction in capital investment is ensured by setting average temperature across casting higher than that on its surface. Note here that temperature in the core or in inner central zone exceeds that on surface by 100°C, which approximates to 1200°C. Proposed line incorporates appropriate equipment. Note also that distance between continuous casting zone and rolling mil does not exceed 30 m.
EFFECT: increased squeezing force at minimum input force.
