FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. Casting mould contains gate-feeding system with riser, in which it is located metallothermic stock. Metallothermic stock is compressed up to density 2300-4000 kg/m3. Compressing allows shape of trapezium and is installed in cavity of riser by less basis to scale of casting mold. In compressor it is implemented vertical opening, which is 30-50% of its volume. At pouring of steel into mould it appears combustion of metallothermic mixture. Formed liquid thermite steel of required chemical compound is mixed to steel, poured into mould, and feed ingot. Formed gas are removed from mould through opening and air drain.
EFFECT: it is provided reduction of consumption of liquid steel for risers and increasing of yield.
