FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing diallylamine based homopolymers, particularly to a method of producing poly-N,N-dimethyl-3,4-dimethylenepyrrolidinium chloride. The method involves polymerisation in the presence of dimethylallylamine or allyl alcohol in amount ranging from 0.001 to 0.1 mole per mole of monomer. Molecular weight is regulated by ratio of monomer to initiator. The initiator used is tert-butyl hydroperoxide. The reaction is carried out at temperature ranging from 60 to 90°C.
EFFECT: polymer with high electrical conductivity can be obtained using the invention.
