SUBSTANCE: new class of polymers nonn-N,N-dimethyl-3,4-dimethylenepyrrolidinium halogenides is used as 0.0001-5 wt % water solutions depending on the scope as a halogen-containing food additive on all stages of production processes. In order to be used for preservation and storage of products the additive is used in amounts of 0.0001-2 ml per 1l or kilogram of the product or it is put into the container in amounts of 0.0001-2 ml per 1 m² of the surface.

EFFECT: invention describes a method of preserving and storing food and fodder products by using the additive that has high bactericidal and fungicidal properties with low gustatory characteristics.
