BUS ACCESS ARBITRAGE SCHEME Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G06F13/36

Abstract RU 2372645 C2

FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: data processing system consists of a bus, many processing devices connected to the bus, and bus arbitrator. The latter attributes weight coefficient of the first category to each of the processing devices from the first category and weight coefficient of the second category to each of the processing devices from the second category. Bus arbitrator allows subsequent access for one or more processing devices to bus during initial part of the interval of access to bus on the basis of the assigned weight coefficients of the second category and to provide the access for any processing device to the bus during that initial part of interval of access to the bus in response to the request supplied from any of the above processing devices having weight coefficient of the first category. When the access to bus is requested with many processing devices, bus arbitrator provides access to the bus for that requesting processing device which has the highest weight coefficient of the highest category.

EFFECT: providing carrying capacity when meeting requirements relative to delay time for the processing devices connected to the bus.
