FIELD: metallurgy industry.

SUBSTANCE: method is intended for improving life time of rollers of outgoing roller table of hot rolling mill and improving rolled product quality. Method involves creation of excess rotational speed of rollers of roller table above conveying speed of the head end of the strip till it is grabbed with winder reel, agreement of rotational speed of roller table rollers with conveying speed of the strip in the mode when it is accompanied from the moment when the strip is grabbed with winder reel and till the rear end of the strip is moved out of the last rolling mill, decrease of roller table rollers speed in relation to the strip speed from the moment when rear end of the strip is moved out of the last rolling mill.

EFFECT: minimisation of friction forces on rollers - strip contacts in the mode when strip is conveyed from the moment when head end of the strip is grabbed with winder reel till rear end of the strip is moved out of the rolling mill is provided owing to the fact that minimum force on roller - strip contact is set by individual adjustment of electric motor load of each roller in tracking mode.
