SUBSTANCE: method for controlling speed mode of discharging roller table of wide strip rolling mill comprises steps of transporting leading end of rolled strip along roller table with speed of rollers exceeding speed of strip; reducing peripheral speed of rollers of roller table by value no more than at approaching leading end of strip to draw rollers of coiler. In given relations ΔV_p - value of reducing circumferential speed of rollers of roller table, V_n - transportation speed of strip along discharging roller table; M_h, M_x, J_p, R_p respectively - nominal torque, idle motion torque of electric motor, moment of inertia and radius value of roller of discharging roller table; t_p - time period of motion of leading end of next strip from first stand of finish rolling stand group until rollers of discharging roller table; sustaining peripheral speed of rollers until guiding leading end of next strip to first stand of finish rolling stand group; then increasing peripheral speed until value exceeding transportation speed of leading end of strip along roller table.
