FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: aircraft comprises airframe, wings, wings actuators and power plant with air intake, combustion chamber and nozzle apparatus. Power plant is arranged at airframe tail to make airframe the central member of circular air intake. Semi-closed detonation combustion chamber is formed by central member end face wall and nozzle apparatus inner wall and is coupled with circular air intake, adjustable circular slot-like nozzle formed byoairframe outer wall and inner wall of circular air intake. The air intake channel accommodates wings and aircraft control elements. Method of operating aircraft comprises accelerating it with subsequent switching on of engine by feeding prepared fuel mix into combustion chamber, its detonation and producing thrust. Fuel mix is fed into combustion chamber in two flows through porous end face wall and adjustable slot-like nozzle at frequency of 200 to 27000 Hz.
