FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: inventions are related to transport machine building, in particular to aircraft engine building, and may be used for ground testing and investigation of pulsating detonating engine characteristics. Method consists in creation of conditions in aerodynamic pipe at the inlet to pulsating detonating engine, which comply with its interaction with high speed flow of air, organisation of fuel supply to detonating combustion chamber and further measurement of occurring forces and torques in process of engine operation by six component strain-gage weigher for traction detection. Device includes closed working part of aerodynamic pipe, replaceable forechamber, electric heater, supersonic nozzle, supersonic diffuser, ejector, exhaust diffuser and facilities for measurements and control. At the same time pulsating detonating engine is installed in closed working part of aerodynamic part with stock of fuel required for tests, being joined to traction-measurement device arranged in the form of weigher holder covered with fairing with six-component cooled strain-gage weigher. Annular nozzle is installed for supply of fuel mixture between air intake and detonation combustion chamber.
EFFECT: possibility of direct measurement of aerodynamic characteristics and traction of pulsating detonating engine in process of reproduction and/or modeling of flight conditions.
