SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises feeding fuel mix into semi-closed detonation combustion chamber, detonation of fuel mix in pulsating mode, and producing thrust. To drive surface and underwater vehicles, powder metal and outside water are fed into said combustion chamber in pulsating or quasicontinuous mode, outside water being sprayed or represents steam. Simultaneously, outside water is fed into detonation combustion chamber in the form of thin film to detonate heterogeneous fuel mix therein. To drive surface ships only, aerosuspension of powder metal and air in fed into said combustion chamber in pulsating or quasicontinuous mode. Simultaneously, outside water is fed into detonation combustion chamber in the form of thin film to detonate heterogeneous fuel mix therein.
EFFECT: higher fuel and thermal efficiency, specific thrust and engine reliability.
