FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine building, particularly to mechanisms of free running. The mechanism of free running consists of a socket sleeve, shaft, sprocket secured on a shaft, stop covers, intermediate elements of wedging and of friction disks. The intermediary elements of wedging are made in form of half-clutches and are arranged in the socket symmetrically on both sides with sprockets. The friction disks are assembled on hubs of the half-clutches. The half-clutches have cylinder holes wherein right-hand internal thread is made in one of the half-clutches, while left-hand thread is made in another. The sprocket has cylinder surface with corresponding external threads, right-hand on one end, and left-hand on another thus together with half-clutches forming screw pairs with opposite axial travel of half-clutches relative to the sprocket at their relative rotation. According to another version half-clutches have cylinder surfaces where right-hand external thread is made in one of them, while left-hand thread is made on another; also the sprocket has a cylinder hole with corresponding internal threads right-hand on one end and left-hand on another.
EFFECT: increased technical resource of mechanism due to increased contact area of working surfaces.
