FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of samples using fluorescence spectroscopy. The invention employs a fluid extraction unit, an optical cell, a radiation source and a unit for detecting fluid fluorescence. The radiation source and the detection unit lie next to the optical cell. The invention uses apparatus for collecting a fluorescence signal from the extracted fluid when in a well for analysis of fluid properties. The method also involves detection of changes in properties (gradients) of fluid of the oil column.
EFFECT: possibility of efficient well analysis of fluid in samples of heavy oil in the presence of a water/oil emulsion, as well as in the presence of fine particles, such as uncompacted sand, in the oil.
