FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a system for early measurement of turbulence in front of an aircraft. The said system has a lidar, which emits an optical beam ahead in front of an aircraft and which receives the optical beam which is scattered back, a direct detection device which is connected to control apparatus, a first processing unit which uses a first algorithm with internal correction, and a second processing unit which uses a second algorithm with external correction, which gives out, if necessary, command signals for drivers of at least one control plane of the aircraft.

EFFECT: measurement of wind speed in front of aircraft at a distance, sufficient for actuation of the control plane of the aircraft in advance.
